Nature Indoor-Activities
“Everything in nature invites us constantly to be what we are.”
Gretel Ehrlich
Lotem (NGO) was established with the aim of opening the door to nature to all sections of the population in Israel.
Understanding that spending time in nature can contribute to a person's quality of life has been the driving force behind Lotem's activities for over 30 years.
Many years of experience alongside a deep familiarity with special populations allows us to make our tours and activities accessible to and appropriate for our participants. We are able to provide appropriate physical, emotional and content-related solutions. Lotem is also acting among the general population to expand awareness of the importance of accessibility in different areas of life.

Trips
Many years of experience alongside a deep familiarity with special populations allows us to
make our tours and activities accessible to and appropriate for our participants. We are able
to provide suitable physical, emotional and content-related solutions.
An experienced professional team of guides leads these trips. During the activities
themselves, special attention is given to empowerment, developing life skills, promoting
motor skills and becoming familiar with basic concepts connected to nature.
Emek HaShalom
Emek HaShalom Farm lies in the heart of a beautiful natural landscape in the magical area of
Ramat Menashe. It's a totally accessible facility, and we run a wide range of workshops there, on topics such as ancient agriculture, ecology, accessibility, and more.
The workshops combine practical experiences and arts and crafts, while using smells, sounds
and natural materials. This all happens in a relaxed, fun atmosphere, while developing
participants' creativity and stimulating their senses. They also learn how to cope with
challenges while enjoying a meaningful social activity.
Group Activities
A range of weekly sessions within frameworks for children and adults with disabilities all
over Israel. The group can choose from a variety of nature-related subjects and the sessions
include practical and sensory experiences adapted to the participants' capabilities.
For example, a basic nature session in which participants experience nature by connecting to
various topics. For example, the four seasons, the Jewish calendar or becoming more
familiar with nature in their immediate environment.
Mini-vacations
Mini-vacations of a few days, individually adapted every time according to the particular participants, in keeping with their physical and cognitive levels and with the budget.
These mini-vacations can include overnight accommodation in luxury hotels, special attractions, specially adapted hikes, etc. We accompany the group from the planning stages and once they're on the vacation, our trained guides care for every single detail and every individual need.
Nature Indoor-Activities
Nature Indoor-Activities are an opportunity to encounter nature without leaving the group's
particular framework. They are a wonderful solution for groups who cannot hike, or during those times when it's hard to go out into nature. Our indoor-activities are adapted for both children and adults with disabilities and take place in small groups. This allows for personal attention and specific adaptation for the various needs and levels in the group. These indoor-activities encourage the strengthening and development of physical and motor skills in an experiential way. It all happens in a relaxed, fun atmosphere, while encouraging participants' creativity and stimulating their senses. They also learn how to cope with
challenges while enjoying a meaningful social activity.
"Nagish LeHakir"
This is our accessibility training and counseling center, with a richly experienced team –
working with people with disabilities, advising and implementing various accessibility projects, simplifying written texts and developing accessible content.
Our training centers – Emek HaShalom Farm near Yokneam and our "Accessible City" model
in Shoham – offer inspiration and study in how to make life more accessible in a positive, quality way.
